Molasses Cookies

From the Collection of Marg Dye. Published in Hot Off the Griddle #20, November 1993.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, unbeaten
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp each ginger, nutmeg

METHOD

  1. Mix all together and drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet.
  2. Bake at 350 until done — about 15 minutes.
