Blueberry Sauce
Delicious on pancakes, waffles, or fine vanilla ice cream. Originally published in Foodstuffs Hot Off the Griddle, July 1994.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 pint fresh blueberries
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
METHOD
- Place blueberries in a saucepan with orange juice, 1 cup water, and sugar.
- Bring to a boil.
- Thicken with cornstarch diluted in 1/4 cup water.
- Flavor with almond extract & cinnamon.
