INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup butter
1 cup grated sharp cheddar
1 Tbsp milk or cream
1 cup all-purpose flour

METHOD

Knead together and roll out on a lightly-floured surface.
Cut with a cookie cutter. Place o baking sheet and make a thumprint on each.
Fill with apple jelly—red is Christmassy.
Bake in a 350 F oven until done. But don’t go away—they don’t take long to bake!
