Add some variety to your meals with these great green legumes! They are packed with nutrients!!

Edamame
Japan’s favourite legume is a green soybean that is harvested before fully ripe. With a nutty flavour and crisp texture, edamame can be purchased in or out of it’s pod. They contain soo many nutrients like fibre, protein, vit c, magnesium, potassium and folate! Go GMO free with organic beans!

Green Lentils
The most common lentil type, green lentils have an earthy almost meaty flavour with a slightly chewy texture. Just a quarter cup has 15g of fibre!! Lentils have the third-highest level of protein, by weight, of any legume or nut, after soybean and hemp.

Mung Beans
Best known for sprouting, this overlooked bean is slightly sweet in flavour. They contain B vitamins, vitamin K, magnesium and iron.

Lima Beans
Rich and buttery in flavour and texture and they are named for their native Peru’s capital city! They are low in calories and high in vit c!

Split Green Peas
These are just dried green peas. They contain lots of phosphorus, folate, manganese and magnesium.
