Retro Tutti Frutti

From Hot Off the Griddle #22, December 1993.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup cornflakes
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped dates
  • 1/2 cup glazed cherries (mixed red and green)
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 tsp almond flavouring
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla

METHOD

  1. Cream butter, sugar, egg and flavouring.
  2. Add cornflakes, nuts, dates, cherries, raisins and coconut.
  3. Form in balls and bake at 350 F for 12-15 minutes.

Yield: 2 dozen.
